Berg°

In German, Berg means “mountain” and ° (Grad) means degree. The project Berg° (“Mountain City”) is located near Vienna Airport and is conceived as a flexible structure.

Apartment modules can be placed by crane into the “mountain,” which grows step by step in a terraced formation. The mountain of housing rises above all other urban functions. A wooden model of the project is presented at a scale of 1:1000 for a city near Vienna Airport in 2050.
